Aquarius 1st/Ascendant and Capricorn 12th

    Aquarius Rising individuals can be confusing people to understand. I've mentioned in a previous YouTube video how Aquarius is a heavily karmic sign. So, this is not an easy Rising Sign to be born under. They often appear to be very friendly and do well in social situations. However, they can disappear into isolation and prefer to be independent. This is because Aquarius people are introverted, but they tend to feel an obligation to society. They care deeply for the collective and want to make a change in the world. Yet, they are more comfortable when they are alone. So, while they might seem heavily involved in social situations, they are very difficult to get close to on a personal level. Aquarius Rising tends to shy away from these situations and many will even say that they just would rather be at home alone. With the Ascendant Lord ruling the 12th House, Aquarius is very secretive and mysterious. Saturn is already a cold, dark, gloomy, serious, and mature planet that has rulership over the Ascendant. The 12th House is the House of isolation, spirituality, generosity, bed pleasures, imagination, the astral plane, foreign lands, and all that is unknown to us. So, Aquarius Rising prefers to have their privacy. This can mean that they live in their heads a lot. These are highly intelligent individuals. Sometimes even geniuses. Yet, they are also a bit unrealistic and ungrounded. They are knowledgeable, idealistic, and profoundly deep thinkers. However, they are an air sign. So, they are up in the air rather than remaining practical and grounded in reality. This allows them to understand many subjects that others struggle with and they have the potential to come up with ingenious ideas. In fact, they are realistic in the sense of understanding the world. With Capricorn in the 12th House, they have a psychic entanglement with the suffering of the world. This is why Aquarius Rising can become depressed and melancholic a lot in their lives. They are very sensitive to societal issues and the well-being of humanity at large. Aquarius is also a rare sign. Aquarius rises from the Eastern Horizon for a shorter amount of time. So, a smaller percentage of the population will be born under this Rising Sign. They also come off as mysterious or difficult for others to understand. Aquarius Risings are extremely independent and strive to be different from the rest of society. This has a lot to do with the unconventional planet of Rahu being the co-ruler of Aquarius. To learn all about Rahu, see my blog post on Secrets of Rahu (North Node). These are future-focused individuals who seek to improve humanity with their profound knowledge. The influence of Saturn makes them highly ambitious and serious. Aquarius Risings are old souls with a great deal of wisdom. However, they also suffer because of their awareness of the heaviness of life and sensitivity to it. Depression and darkness tend to break these souls down easily. They have a somber and sarcastic approach to life. Or they seem to be dreamy and sad in their appearance. Their eyes especially seem to convey sadness to others. I've discussed before how the influence of Rahu tends to lean more towards blue or greyish brown colored eyes. Also, keep in mind, that Aquarius has three Nakshatras that behave differently. It's important to see if you have Dhanishta Rising, Shatabhishak Rising, or Purva Bhadrapada Rising. It's also important to know the sign placement, nakshatra placement, house placement, conjunctions, aspects, and dashas of both Saturn and Rahu. This will strongly influence how the Ascendant will affect your path in life. Planets in or aspecting the Ascendant can also alter the experience, personality, and appearance in a major way.

Pisces 2nd and Sagittarius 11th (Jupiter) 

Money Magnet and Large Network Circle

    Although Aquarius Risings love their privacy, they are usually very likable people. They attract many people from various walks of life. Their social circle is usually large depending on the condition of the 11th House. Due to this, many opportunities and resources can come their way. Although, they can be stubborn in their views and can have a hard time allowing others to help them. There is a strong sense of independence about them. Aquarius Rising might not ask for things that they need from others. They don't want to rely on anyone and only want to be selfless to others. They can also easily attract monetary resources. These are hard-working people who can bring in great wealth through their efforts. However, there is a strange relationship with money. With Pisces in the 2nd House, Aquarius Risings don't care enough about money and can become aloof with their savings and earnings. Causing them to lose money despite being able to gain large amounts of it. They really have a profound way of seeing the world. Aquarius Risings put deeper meaning into things that hold sentimental worth and spiritual understanding. Interestingly, they can struggle with large material desires at times. Keep in mind that Aquarius is the last sign before the liberation of Pisces. So, they still have a strong battle with their ego that's being broken to pieces. This is the symbol of the water vessel that's fractured and spilling out water to flow uncontrollably. The broken vessel represents the ego that's being broken. Whereas, the water flows freely without any constraint when we reach the sign of Pisces. So, they have to be cautious of falling for scams and overspending because they don't want to focus on this area as much. Their friends can also take advantage of their monetary resources and possessions. So, Aquarius Rising is better off keeping their finances secret and protecting their belongings. Even though they want to help humanity, others will try to use that kindness against them. So, discernment of what others' intentions are becomes very important. Aquarius Risings tend to have a dreamy or softer tone of voice that can come off as very hypnotic to others. Even the men born with this position speak in a calm and quiet tonality. Their family situation can be very changeable at a young age. Perhaps, they had to move around a lot, or something about their early upbringing changed. They also love to have educated and cultural friends. Some of their friends might even come from a foreign country or have a foreign cultural background. They might seek out people with who they can have philosophical and thought-provoking discussions. 

Aries 3rd and Scorpio 10th (Mars) 

Conflict in Conversation & Powerful in Career 

    As I mentioned earlier, Aquarius Rising people tend to have a softer and more pleasant vocal tonality. However, that doesn't mean that their communication style is soft. It's the exact opposite. Aquarius Risings are excellent at communication. They can be very articulate and can even make excellent writers. However, they are very technical and direct in their speech. An Aquarius Rising isn't afraid to speak out on an issue or to voice their opinion if they feel something is wrong. This can cause great conflict. Others tend not to approve of them when they speak their mind. This can lead to arguments. Interestingly enough, Aquarius Risings don't like any kind of conflict and tend to shy away from it. However, they won't back down from an argument and can become very stubborn in their ideals. Sometimes, if there are planets negatively placed, Aquarius Risings can be a bit of a know-it-all. This can irritate others and causes a lot of problems. Yet, they do know a great deal of information. It doesn't seem to come across in the right way and provokes others. So, they do tend to correct themselves and revisit discussions to try to find a better way to get their point across. There can also be a conflict with siblings. Especially with younger siblings. Sibling rivalries can be as simple as competition and constant debates. Or it can even become aggressive or violent. It could also be a separation from a sibling. They might not have grown up in the same house or sometimes they grow up in different countries altogether. However, they do tend to have a sibling that they get along with very deeply. Aquarius Rising can work in a career with a sibling or will receive some sort of support from a sibling. It could also be the other way around and they might need to support a sibling. The work ethic of an Aquarius Rising is extremely powerful. They can go from nothing all the way to a high position. However, they usually prefer to be in a leadership position or to work alone. Especially because Scorpio rules their 10th House. Scorpio is a secretive sign. So, they might want to do undercover work, work in a private office, or own their own business. Aquarius Rising does their best work when they have control over what, when, and how they do it. Also, work involving mysticism, medical work, technical skills, uncovering deeper knowledge, or scientific research might suit them. Careers that involve communication, writing, and the media can also suit them because of Aries ruling the 3rd House. Although, the D1 Natal Chart needs to be further examined. Along with the Chandralagna (D1 Moon Chart), D9 Navamsa and the D10 Dasamsa. Even the D24 Chaturvimshamsa for education. Alongside Yogas to see special qualities, Jaimini Karakas to see the karmic roles of the planets, and the Dashas to see the accurate timing of the planets. 

Taurus 4th and Libra 9th (Venus) 

Comfortable Home and Philosophy of Peace

    Aquarius Rising is strongly focused on peace, justice, and equality. That ties into Aries in the 3rd House of wanting to speak out against anything deemed as wrong. Even wanting to have philosophical connections with Sagittarius in the 11th House. Peace is the main concern with an Aquarius Rising. They usually grow up in a comfortable home. Despite there being changes early on, they tend to have a stable connection to home and family. It's a place of peace and security for them. Aquarius Risings also tend to have a friendly connection with family. Especially with the mother. Even though these are introverts, they tend to be very expressive at home. They can be fun and playful in their sanctuary. Aquarius Risings might also enjoy having friends and company over. For them, they can be themselves better in a home environment than when they are in social situations. Creative expression and enjoying entertainment might especially be sources of comfort in their homes. Along with having a calm, organized, and sometimes spacious environment. However, they don't just enjoy peace and comfort for themselves. Aquarius Risings want world peace and seek to share it through their philosophy. They have very strong beliefs about treating others with fairness and spreading a message of societal harmony. They are usually accepting of others and their differences. Not wanting to cause division or to fit people under labels. Aquarius Risings are also well-educated people with great wisdom. With Libra ruling their 9th House, they are able to achieve great success in higher education. Even if they don't they have a love of learning and will always have high intelligence. They also love to travel. Not necessarily for the destination. More for the enjoyment of the experience. Aquarius Risings love to be comfortable and to have a beautiful experience when they travel. 

Gemini 5th and Virgo 8th (Mercury)

    Once again, Aquarius Risings are highly intelligent individuals with a great deal of wisdom. They love anything that involves knowledge and learning. With Gemini in the 5th House, Aquarius Risings tend to love puzzles, books, and intellectual discussions. Aquarius Risings can also be talented in many creative and intellectual skills due to the duality of Gemini. They carry knowledge not just from their love of learning. It also comes from past life experiences. They can be great at learning religious scriptures and mantras if they chose to. However, most Aquarius Risings are skeptical of anything that isn't logical and wants evidence of it being true. So, they tend to lean more towards scientific ideas and knowledge that can be proven. Aquarius Risings love to have fun and intellectual discussions. Especially when it comes to romance and dating. They love witty banter and mental stimulation. For them, this usually comes before anything that requires being more intimate. So, you might have a chance of attracting them if you're intelligent, funny, and can maintain a thought-provoking conversation. Aquarius Rising can have a strange connection with children. They might not have the connection they want until their children are old enough to communicate. There might also be problems around the children that have to be dealt with. Problems involving getting into trouble or problems with education can come up. Although, the D7 Saptamsa should be examined to see children. Aquarius Risings can have issues with education themselves. Even though they are highly intelligent, Virgo rules the 8th House of sudden events. So, they can have ups and downs in their education. They might need to take a break or find it difficult to complete their education at some point. However, they also tend to succeed anyway. This is because Libra is in the 9th House of higher education. So, if they stay their course, they can achieve the highest success in education. Setbacks are not the end all be all for them. With Virgo in the 8th House, they are also deep probing thinkers. Aquarius Risings can do deep research and are very observant people. Little gets past them and they can learn a subject no matter how complex it might be. Scientific studies, research, and deep analysis are in their nature. They can also dabble in conspiracies, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, taboo, mystical, and occult studies. However, the chart needs to be examined further for this. Aquarius Risings usually struggle with subjects that don't have any evidence to back them up. That can make more elusive subjects challenging for them to believe in unless their planets support it.

Cancer 6th (Moon) 

Sensitive to Life's Challenges 

    Despite being intellectual and appearing detached from others, Aquarius Risings are actually sensitive individuals. As mentioned before, they are highly sensitive and aware of the hardships of this reality. This can make them moody and gloomy at times. Depression, anxiety, and emptiness can even be seen from this position. The Moon represents the mind and the 6th House is a House of conflict. This puts the mind in constant unrest. Sometimes, being at home or finding some kind of peace is best for them. Even doing something that makes them happy can be beneficial. Especially because this is also a House of diseases. So, sickness and physical ailments can come from having depressive moods. Water retention and weight gain can come from eating their feelings. Although, Aquarius Risings are usually tall and thin and have a love for fitness. However, their mood can completely through this off. For one period of their life, they will be all about fitness. Then they will lose interest in it in a different phase. Keep in mind that not all are tall and thin. The planets will matter when it comes to appearance. Especially planets influencing the 1st House, Saturn, and Rahu. Even the Moon Sign can play a significant role in appearance. Circulation issues and diseases of the heart can develop due to Cancer ruling this House. Also because Leo is the opposite of Aquarius. Saturn rules the bones in the body and Aquarius especially rules the ankles and shins. So, there can be issues with the lower portion of the body and arthritis can develop. Aquarius Risings can also have issues with small sensitivities like allergies, asthma, and seasonal colds. Their constitution is extremely susceptible to breaking down and needs to be taken care of. Proper fitness and paying close attention to food intake help a lot for these individuals. This is so important because these individuals are focused on helping others more than themselves. This means that they can neglect their own needs and can overlook health concerns until they're too late to be prevented. Aquarius Risings also tend to do well with serving others and caring deeply for the sick, elderly, and less fortunate. They also care for their co-workers and can be very compassionate in their workplace. Although, working alone might serve them better due to their sensitivity. As well as small pets. They might have a special connection to a small animal that they keep as a pet. Sometimes there is even a psychic or intuitive understanding of animals. 

Leo 7th (Sun) 

Empowering Partner or Narcissistic Partner

    They can have issues with their partners because the Sun is a great enemy to Saturn. This could be because Aquarius Risings are so private and need space to themselves. It could also be because they give selflessly to others without expecting anything in return. Aquarius Risings do tend to attract partners who are more powerful than they are. At least more powerful in ego and self-esteem. This can be positive because this can be someone who is supportive and encourages the Aquarius Rising to be more confident in social situations. However, this can also produce a partner who's controlling, manipulative, and ego-centric. This reflects the fact that Aquarius is in the karmic process of losing their ego in this life. Aquarius Rising is becoming more selfless by wanting to help others. Remember that the 7th House is also what we did in a previous life. So, they were focused on themselves in the past, but Aquarius Risings are called to be selfless in this life. However, conflict in marriage can emotionally damage an Aquarius Rising. This is because they aren't likely to want to deal with confrontation and are also more focused on the needs of their partner. Avoiding the fact that the relationship is toxic and that they need to leave. On the other hand, they can meet a really nice partner who simply has strong self-esteem. The position of the Sun is important to look at. If the Sun is badly placed or damaged, it is important to be very cautious of the partner that they chose to be with. Also, if the 7th House is afflicted by other damaging planets in the chart by position or aspect. Leo in the 7th House can also show that there can be power dynamics with authority or issues with the father. Ultimately, people will try to control them because Aquarians are so focused on giving to others. Although, it can also show that others admire them and see them as a leader in society. The type of leader will depend on the sign, house, aspects, and conjunctions of the Sun.
