Mars Retrograde in Aries

September 9th- November 13th, 2020

On September 9, 2020, Mars will Station Retrograde in Aries ♈️. It won’t Station Direct until November 13, 2020. Mars is the planet of sex, focus, anger, aggression, energy levels, fighting ability, and the will to initiate action. It’s our primal masculine force. Mars has two Domiciles and an Exaltation. These are the signs that Mars feels the most comfortable in. The first Domicile of Mars is Aries. This is because Mars is able to quickly to act on that primal energy in Aries. The second Domicile of Mars is Scorpio ♏️. This is because Mars is able to be tough and make calculated decisions in Scorpio. Mars is Exalted in Capricorn ♑️. An Exaltation is slightly different from a Domicile. Exaltations are not just where a planet feels at home. It’s where the planet is functioning at the highest level. Mars functions at such a strong level in Capricorn because of the responsible and systematic nature. You can think of Mars as a young solider in Aries, a skilled survivor in Scorpio, and a business executive in Capricorn. So, Mars is going Retrograde in his Domicile on September 9th. Whenever a planet Retrogresses, it is a time to reflect on and review the energy of that planet. A Mars Retrograde, specifically, is a time of slowing down and finding different routes to take that are of greater value to you. You can think of a Mars Retrograde as a roadblock or a detour. This is going to be especially true because Mars is in his Domicile of Aries. The quick and straightforward nature of Aries isn’t going to work during this Retrograde. Acting too quickly and being to eager to reap results can backfire. You will want to take the time to think everything through before leaping onto the “battlefield.” Mars will be in a Trine to Ketu the South Node in Sagittarius ♐️. Ketu is what we already know and feel comfortable with. That is out karmic past. With Ketu in Sagittarius, the karmic lesson is to not buy into every belief system we have or every story we are told. Seeking answers outside of your divine truth and the actual facts in this reality is not going to get you anywhere at this point. Especially with Mars Retrograde in a Trine to Ketu in Sagittarius. Hoping, wishing, and dreaming about what you want to achieve won’t remove the blocks. You must take logical action to find a new way of getting the outcome you are looking for. With the Sextile to Rahu the North Node in Gemini ♊️, we have to use real facts and divine truth to find ways of initiating forward movement. Mars Retrograde will also be in a T-Square to Venus in Leo ♌️ and Saturn Retrograde Conjunct Pluto Retrograde in Capricorn. Mars Retrograde in Aries is in Square Venus in Leo. Distractions of entertainment, romance, and recreational activities can get in the way of forward progress. Saturn Retrograde and Pluto Retrograde have spent a great deal of time in Capricorn. This brings up fears, heaviness, and the breakdown of our old reality as we know it. Be cautious of slowing fears and challenges to weigh heavily upon you. This can increase roadblocks even further. You might also run into legal blocks and government responsibilities.
